This Privacy Notice explains how Accelitas, Inc. (“Accelitas”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, discloses, and otherwise processes personal information in connection with our services. This Privacy Notice is not a contract and does not create any legal rights or obligations.
Accelitas is committed to the responsible use of information, and strives to provide services to businesses, individuals, nonprofit organizations, and government agencies that help reduce fraud, mitigate risk, facilitate more informed decisions, and make society safer, in ways that protect individuals’ privacy. We are a business-to-business provider – B2B (We do not engage with consumers directly). We aspire to protect individuals’ privacy through the design of our products, by credentialing, monitoring, and auditing our customers as appropriate, and through other information security safeguards. We also strive to promote transparency through privacy principles and policies, and appropriate opportunities for choice, access, and correction with respect to personal information about individuals.
Accelitas never sells data. All data that Accelitas receives is from our customers and from trusted data partners on our customers’ behalf. This data is then used to facilitate the processing of a consumer request from one of our customers. This data is stored on Accelitas systems for audit purposes. Anonymized data is used to improve the performance of our models.
When we use the term “services” in this Privacy Notice, we are referring both to this website and to our product and service offerings. If you have provided your personal information to a company that uses our product or service offerings, please refer to that company’s own privacy notices to learn how it collects, uses, discloses, and otherwise processes your personal information.
This Privacy Notice does not cover or address our personal information and privacy practices relating to job applicants, employees, and other personnel.
Region-Specific Disclosures
We may choose or be required by law to provide different or additional disclosures relating to the processing of personal information about residents of certain countries, regions, or states. Please see below for disclosures that may be applicable to you:

Residents of the State of Nevada in the United States, Chapter 603A of the Nevada Revised Statutes permits a Nevada resident to opt out of future sales of certain covered information that a website operator has collected or will collect about the resident.

What is Personal Information?
When we use the term “personal information” in this Privacy Notice, we mean information that identifies, relates to, describes, is reasonably capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, to you. It does not include aggregated or anonymized information that is maintained in a form that is not reasonably capable of being associated with or linked to you.
Our Collection of Personal Information
We collect personal information from many different sources, as described in more detail below.
We collect personal information about you from our customers as well as from other sources, partners and third parties, even before our first direct interaction. However, Accelitas only uses your personal information for evaluation when you request a transaction at one of our customers. This is stored for transaction auditability and is never sold or used again.
Personal Information You Provide
We collect the following personal information you provide directly or indirectly in connection with our services:
Name and contact information. Your first and last name, email address, mailing address, phone number, and other similar contact information, including information from ID cards we process in connection with services we provide to our customers.
Identifiers. Your birth date and other government-issued identifiers, such as a social security number, driver's license number, or other state-issued identification number, including identifiers from ID cards we process in connection with services we provide to our customers.
Payment information. We do not process payment information on our website.
Commercial information. Information regarding products or services you have purchased or considered purchasing, or other purchasing or spending histories or tendencies. For example, we may collect this information including account and routing numbers in connection with services we provide to our customers.
Support Information. Information you provide when you contact Accelitas for support, such as the content of your communications with Accelitas, and the services related to your inquiry. Inferences drawn from personal information. Scores and other predictive analytics information that are developed using your information is provided by our customers. Such inferences may include information relating to aggregate consumer preferences, characteristics, or consumer spending profiles derived from other personal information we process.
Personal Information Automatically Collected
As is true of most digital platforms, we collect certain personal information automatically when you visit our online services, including:
Log File Data, including your internet protocol (IP) address, operating system, browser type, browser id, date/time of visit, and pages visited.
Analytics Data, including the electronic path you take to our services, through our services and when exiting our services, as well as your usage and activity on our services, such as the links and object you view, click, or otherwise interact with.
Location Data, including your general geographic location based on your IP address.
We and our third-party providers may use (i) cookies or small data files that are stored on an individual’s computer and (ii) other, related technologies, such as web beacons, pixels, embedded scripts, location-identifying technologies, and logging technologies (collectively, “cookies”) to automatically collect this personal information. For example, our website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”), to collect and view reports about the traffic on our website. To manage cookies, an individual may change their browser settings to: (i) notify them when they receive a cookie, so the individual can choose whether to accept it; (ii) disable existing cookies; or (iii) automatically reject cookies. Please note that doing so may negatively impact an individual’s experience using our Site, as some features and offerings may not work properly or at all. Depending on an individual’s device and operating system, the individual may not be able to delete or block all cookies. In addition, if an individual wants to reject cookies across all browsers and devices, the individual will need to do so on each browser on each device they actively use. An individual may also set their email options to prevent the automatic downloading of images that may contain technologies that would allow us to know whether they have accessed our email and performed certain functions with it.
Personal Information From Other Sources
We also obtain personal information from other sources, and often combine that information with personal information we collect either automatically or directly from you.
We receive the same categories of personal information as described above from the following sources and third parties:
Our customers. We collect personal information from our customers when they provide it to us.
Third-party data providers. We purchase personal information from third-party companies that collect and aggregate personal information. Data resellers collect personal information from a variety of sources, including directly from consumers, through devices and browsers, public records, news sources, and from other businesses and data brokers.
Public records. We collect personal information which is sourced from public records made available by federal, state, and local governments, including federal trade sanctions and export control lists.
Our Use of Personal Information
We may use personal information we collect to:
Provide our services. We may use personal information to provide our services to our customers. For example, our customers may send us a data file with individuals’ social security numbers, names, addresses, birth dates, other additional information.
Support, improve, and develop our services. We may use your personal information to provide customer support, measure the performance of our services, fix issues, improve and otherwise develop the features and functionalities of our services, and to test and develop new services.
Communicate with you and deal with complaints. We may use your personal information to address comments or complaints you submit to us, as well as to send you communications relating to the services.
Send you marketing materials. We may use your personal information to send you marketing materials including newsletters and other marketing communications.
Safety and fraud prevention. We may use your personal information to detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or other harmful activities, diagnose and fix technology problems, conduct security investigations, and risk assessments, and improve and enforce our security measures.
Legal and regulatory requirements and proceedings. We may use your personal information in connection with legal and regulatory proceedings and requirements, including the defense of legal claims, compliance with corporate reporting obligations, and compliance with applicable laws.
Enforce our rights. We may use your personal information to monitor, investigate, prevent and/or mitigate violations of our terms of use as well as enforce our agreements with third parties and business partners.
If you choose to contact us, we may need additional information to fulfill your request or respond to your inquiry. We may provide additional privacy disclosures where the scope of the inquiry/request and/or personal information we require fall outside the scope of this Privacy Notice. In that case, the additional privacy disclosures will govern how we may process the information you provide at that time.
Our Disclosure of Customer Information
We may disclose personal information in the following ways:
To our corporate affiliates: We may disclose customer information to Accelitas’ corporate affiliates for purposes and uses that are consistent with this Privacy Notice.
To our customers: We do not disclose personal information to our customers when we provide them with our services.
In connection with a business transaction or reorganization: We may take part in or be involved with a corporate business transaction, such as a merger, acquisition, joint venture, or financing or sale of company assets. We may disclose customer information to a third party during negotiation of, in connection with or as an asset in such a corporate business transaction. Customer information may also be disclosed in the event of insolvency, bankruptcy, or receivership.
To comply with legal obligations and exercise our rights: We may disclose customer information to third parties, such as legal advisors and law enforcement:
in connection with the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims;
to comply with laws or to respond to lawful requests and legal process;
to protect the rights and property of Accelitas, our agents, customers, and others, including to enforce our agreements, policies, and terms of use;
to detect, suppress, or prevent fraud
to reduce credit risk and collect debts owed to us
to protect the health and safety of us, our customers, or any person; or
as otherwise required by applicable law.
Consent: We may disclose customer information about you to certain other third parties with your consent.
Our Security Practices
Data security is a company imperative. Accelitas strives to protect personal information that we maintain or disseminate, including the use of appropriate administrative, physical, and technical safeguards.
Access and Correction
Accelitas strives to accurately report information in its services and accurately report information that it receives from its data sources. Accelitas recognizes, however, that reporting errors may occur and offers individuals opportunities, where applicable, to dispute and correct information.
Consumers who wish to dispute or review the information provided by one of our data sources should address inquiries to consumerinformation@accelitas.com, noting their name, address, phone number, email address, the name of the Accelitas customer who requested the information, the location of the branch where the transaction occurred (if applicable), and the date and time of the transaction.
Children’s Personal Information
Our services are not directed to, and we do not intend to, or knowingly, collect or solicit personal information from children under the age of 13. If you are under the age of 13, please do not use our services or otherwise provide us with any personal information either directly or by other means. If a child under the age of 13 has provided personal information to us, we encourage the child’s parent or guardian to contact us to request that we remove the personal information from our systems. If we learn that any personal information, we collect has been provided by a child under the age of 13, we will promptly delete that personal information
Third-Party Websites
Our services may include links to third-party websites, plug-ins, and applications. Except where we post, link to, or expressly adopt or refer to this Privacy Notice, this Privacy Notice does not apply to, and we are not responsible for, any personal information practices of third-party websites and online services or the practices of other third parties. Updates to this Privacy Notice
We will update this Privacy Notice from time to time. When we make changes to this Privacy Notice, we will change the "Last Updated" date at the beginning of this Privacy Notice. If we make material changes to this Privacy Notice, we will notify you by email by prominent posting on this website or our online services, or through other appropriate communication channels. All changes shall be effective from the date of publication unless otherwise provided.
