Mark Smith | COO

Mark came out of college and straight into one of the most dynamic times and places in the world, starting at the legendary NASA Ames Research Center in Mountain View, in a programmatic IT support role with the SF State University Foundation before a still burgeoning Oracle recruited him to plan, develop, implement, and deploy the kind of software infrastructures that define Silicon Valley. Seventeen years later, Mark moved over to First Data, where he served as director of government solutions, became well-versed in artificial intelligence, and helped process trillions of dollars for block providers, companies, and individuals.   

According to Mark, Greg Cote caught him in a weak moment and convinced him that Accelitas is the future. Although he frequently displays Darth Vader in his Zoom background, Mark applies his experience to the forces of good.
